Looking for the origins of this spoon.
Hi, I am looking for help in identifying the marks on this dessert spoon. I am pretty sure I have seen them before but can't recall where, can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks Martin. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/supermezz/spoon_zpszlf5mznh.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/alb...

Any ideas on the maker?
Hi, Does anyone know who the maker of this 1712 Queen Anne spoon might be? Many Thanks Martin. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/supermezz/sp1_zpskqsnlovc.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/supermezz/sp2_zpsvnkj1f48.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/supermezz/sp3_zpsgygj2hlz.jpg

Hi,
That punch is the town mark, in this case the leopard's head, denoting it was made in London.

Just a guess, is it some sort of cutting tool for making watch parts?

Opinions on who the maker is.
Hi, This George II coffee pot has fairly rubbed marks including the makers mark. I think it is probably that of Benjamin Cartwright I, but would welcome the thoughts of other forum members. Silver soup ladle
Hi, This silver soup ladle finished in an Oar Pattern has only a makers mark of FA or possibly EA. I am thinking it is possibly Scottish provincial or maybe continental, does anybody have any ideas on its origins? Hi Trev,
That would make sense, in which case the origin of the spoons could be very difficult to determine.

Re: Liverpool Spoons?
Hi Trev,
The images were provided by the auctioneer, I do not have the spoons. I came across them when checking through the auctioneers sale results for a number of Scottish Provincial items and was intrigued as to the origin of that particular lot.

Liverpool Spoons?
Hi, I found these spoons at auction described as Scottish Provincial. Could they be from Liverpool, as the marks don't correspond with any Scottish Provincial that I am aware of? Re: Hallmark help for inherited spoon
Hi,
The spoon was hallmarked in London in 1839, although there is some wear to the makers mark, I believe it to be C.B for Charles Boyton who was a well known spoon maker who was active at this time.
