Thank you so much Trev ! That was quick!
I was familiar with Klinkosch but earlier I saw just his mark with initials. Didn't know he used that helmet mark too.
All the best!

One mark (on the right hand side) looks a bit like a bird ? standing on tall feet (heron or stork bir...

Re: Unknown mark
Here you have an example of Suck mark with Kalisz city mark. Also on a sugar box. What's characteristic for Suck (often seen on his pieces) it's made of low quality silver of just 11 loth.

Re: Help with d FRAGET
In Poland there were few silverplating compannies. The biggest one was Fraget, he started his business in early 1830. Pieces from this period are quite rare. Next big company is Norblin, that started production right after Fraget. The third biggest company was Henneberg. Next worth mentioning was Pl...

Thank you very much. You've been very helpful. Quite honestly I didn't expect such answer. Im not familiar with portugeese marks, much more often I deal with central and eastern europe marks. Here is the overall picture of the jug you asked for: http://i55.tinypic.com/16jx3a.jpg Thank you once more!

Re: spoon from Minsk or Warsaw with unknown mark
The mark seen on the spoon by Ludwik Nast is his own maker's mark depicting snake eating its own tail. Its usually not so visible but you may see it sometimes.

Re: spoon from Minsk or Warsaw with unknown mark
Guys. You mixed up few things. The marks that you see on some silver pieces, accompanied by different makers mark is quite common on Polish silver. It's not because we produced so much fakes. There are two differens things: silver maker and silver retailer. Some of the makers were retailers at the s...

Re: Candlesticks
Double stamped kokoshik mark doesn't necessarily proof it's a fake. These candlesticks are 100% original, the signatures too.
