Re: Emile Puiforcat Pattern Info Sought

I tried to do it on Imgur and other services recommended in the FAQ (some of which like TinyPic are no longer available). I was able to host the images, but the link embed function did not work... Tried several times. Not sure why.

Emile Puiforcat Pattern Info Sought

Hi there,

I recently came across a pattern by Emile Puiforcat that I have not seen and have so far not been able to identify. I did send them an email but they didn't respond. Does anyone know the name of this pattern please?

Austrian Maker Mark Needed

Hi there,

I am seeking the maker for this Austrian piece. Maker mark is 'LS' and it has the 750 mark for Pest. Has anyone got this maker please?

Re: PJP Birmingham Hallmark

Hi there,

I received a reply from the Birmingham assay office on this maker. The maker is PJ Panton. They don't know if this seller is still trading as they are no longer registered.

Best,

Nate

Re: French Candle Snuffers?

Ok, thanks AG2012. Then these are surely made in Canada by a French-origin maker for an English baronet based on the English arms. So I wonder if this is likely Ignace-François Delezenne working during the period when Quebec was in an English colony (1763- c.1775). Delezenne was known to cater to th...

French Candle Snuffers?

I recovered a pair of snuffers from Toronto. They are marked with a crowned S and with the maker mark, IFD. I presumed from Tardy that these must be French. I had a theory that this could be a Lille mark for French maker, Ignace-François Delezenne, but I'd appreciate any insight on these. Lovely and...

Royal Cypher

I don't suppose there's a chance anyone knows this cypher on a parcel gilt christening cup? It appears to have been the Rank of Count with initials RK or KR. Piece is Vienna, Austria, 1870-1900, by J. K linkosch. https://abload.de/img/screenshot2020-10-15al1jee.png https://abload.de/img/screenshot20...

Wow. Blakstone! Thank you thank you. I would've been grateful for a maker, but all of the information beyond that was very interesting to read. How kind of you and the others who helped me characterize this simple pair of tongs.

1798-1809 French Tongs with Unknown CAB Maker

Hi there, I could use some help with these French tongs please. They have some fun marks on them besides the maker mark. Is the one mark an ear?! I look forward to any assistance you may be able to provide and I am grateful as always for the feedback. Thanks! Best, Nate https://abload.de/img/screens...

Victor Boivin Fork and Knife Set for 12

Hi there, I know it is probably a long shot, but looking for any help on the arms on this large extremely heavy set by Victor Boivin (1897-). 2000 grams on the set, so these are not insubstantial. The arms seem to be a marriage(?) under the coronet of a Marquis? One shield is three eagles displayed....

House of Bourbon Cypher on Emile Puiforcat Servers

Hi there, I found these servers-- a fish slice and some other server. These are the heaviest I've ever held at 310 grams on the pair. The style is very plain. Marked with the Minerva and the Emile Puiforcat EP mark. The real standout is the cypher engraved on the handles. It bears strong similarity ...

Mixed Metal Figural Cup with Appliques

Hi there, Any information about maker, country, age of this cup would be very welcomed and thank you in advance. I picked up this 4.25" tall cup at auction in a rural auction house Southwest of London last month. I am not able to ascribe this piece, but suspect South America is a candidate. Mos...
