Hello, This is Arabic writing, possibly Farsi (Iranian). The First word on the right in Arabic say "I am" Second word is not very clear. The word last to the left says something along the lines of "The scared". Pretty sure it is not a hallmark. Hope this helps... Dear Jordan, th...

It does not look like a hallmark, I wonder if it is a silversmith's name, or some kind of presentation words. Could someone kindly tell me what language it is, so I can check with my fellow collectors who speak the language? Thank you.

Persian inscription on oriental salver
Hello, everyone. I came across an oriental silver salver with inscription at its bottom. The "strokes&dots" characters look like Persian language to me, but not sure. Anybody could kindly tell me what it says? Please see the image below (my first time to post image, hope it shows fine)...

Hello, they are maker's mark along with "pure silver" mark in Chinese. Circa would be late 19th C or early 20th C, I would say.

Hello, they look like either Chinese or Japanese salt and pepper shakers. Probably need better pics to identify.

Hello, the upper two Japanese character mean JUNGIN (pure silver), which normally is 950 and above. The lower two is the maker's mark. How this is helpful.

The upper mark is a Chinese ideogram. The low one looks almost the same as Japanese JUNGIN mark, but actually it is in Chinese. I will come back shortly with references.

Hello, the decoration is in Chinese style. The ideogram is a Chinese character. I will get back to you once I find some useful information about the SC mark.

Hello, the mark on top looks like a maker's mark, and the one blow may be a purity mark meaning "pure silver". Very likely it was crafted in China in the late 19th C or early 20th C, and the scene depicts a traditional Chinese story.
