Since you don't show the face of either ring you posted, would guess that they relate to the German occupation of Norway during WWII - but again, the engraving of 'Stavanger' does not necessarily indicate the maker was in Stavanger... ~Cheryl Yes, you are right, the rings of the period of occupatio...

Most of these rings have the inscription "Stavanger" (only in my collection - 5 rings) There are other inscriptions "Norge" and "Norvegen"dragonflywink wrote:Is the engraved 'Stavanger' the reason you're sure the maker was from there? If so, not really a valid assumption...
