Re: Could it be Georg Jensen?
Three crowns in oval is the Swedish import mark so the item was imported into Sweden and S means that it’s silver. Are there any other marks? There seems to be something in the middle of the 4th picture but is it just a scratch or a reflection?

Re: The Cathedral Treasure
I agree. Nothing indicates Russia. The carving could depict Holy Roman Emperor Charles V during his coronation procession in Bologna in 1530 and the person wearing a mitre could be pope Clement VII (one of the first bearded popes). This was the last time the pope crowned an emperor in Italy. I ...

Re: Swedish silver import marks
I don't see any Swedish import marks here unless. There should be an oval three crowns' mark. The oval leaf mark looks like a thistle which would indicate Scotland and MAB looks more like MAH to me.

Yes, it's Helsinki 1888. PA is Petter Airaksinen (1871-1898) who was a subcontractor for RM Otto Roland Mellin (1860-1907).

London 1859 (Queen Victoria's head and d). As far as I can see the maker's marks is GA for George William Adams.

I couldn't find a silversmith in Hudiksvall with initials CI or like that and the goat's head doesn't really look like the town marks of Hudiksvall. I don't know why anyone would imitate Hudiksvall's mark because it's not that well known.

Re: French Duke?
I think I could have found a match. The coat of arms with leopard heads could be for the family de Frémont: D'azur à trois têtes de léopard d'or. When searching some information about the family I found some genealogy sites and found the following couple:
Antoine Nicolas Louis Charles (1762 - 1827 ...

Re: French Duke?
I couldn't find any match when searching armorials of French dukes. Could the crown be that of a marquis instead? In that case there would be leaves alternating with clusters of three pearls. The coat of arms with three lion/leopard heads could be for the family Anzeray who held the title marquis de ...

Re: Finnish sugar sifter
The hallmarks are rather unclear, especially the first one which is probably the maker's mark. It looks like the crown has been struck twice and it might have distorted the maker's mark. 813H is for the fineness (H=hopea=silver), the next mark looks like a boat of Helsinki and the last one is the ...

Re: What is the Madonna spoon used for?
The text reads "Help us, Holy Trinity" and it's the Holy Trinity that is depicted: God the Father, the Son (Jesus on the cross) and the Holy Spirit (dove). The original spoon was probably a baptismal spoon but this one is a reproduction.

The best match I could find is the coat of arms of Killigrew. Their baronetcy became extinct in 1705 but there probably were other untitled family members. And the second link shows the lion crest too.

Fairbairn's book of crests gives the following families: Baines, Bone, Dempster, Gall, Hodkinson, Small. Unless there are initials or any knowledge of the provenance of the item it's impossible to know the family in question.

Re: Unknown silver marks on a Meissen tea caddy
You are right. One of the marks does look like Swedish three crown mark. It could be an import mark but in that case the shape of the mark should be oval instead of the usual trefoil. Difficult to say for sure but if I had to guess the shape is more like trefoil in this case. If the hallmarks are ...

Coat of arms with mountain and star and baron's crown probably belong to the Swedish family Funck who had the rank of baron (friherre in Swedish). See: https://www.adelsvapen.com/genealogi/Funck_nr_189

I you open the picture on a new tab you can see a high resolution version. The first letter of the maker's mark is W and then there's a pellet. The second letter is visible only partially but could be B or D. My guess would be Walter Brind.

Re: Dublin Spoon Crest, Raised Arm with Sword & Flor de Lis
I browsed through Fairbairn's Book of Crests (can be found online if you wan't to try your luck) but couldn't find exactly similar crest there. There are many crests with an armoured hand holding a sword but I didn't find one with fleur de lis. Could you give the name you found so that I could check ...
