Hi,
Any thoughts on this unusual Scottish crest. The lady is holding a tower in her right hand and an olive branch (?) in her left.
The motto above her is 'CAUSE CAUSE IT'.
Noted on a pair of Sheffield Plate asparagus tongs of around c.1820.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Documented to have been on a bookplate of Charles, Lord Elphinstone, (didn't mention if it was the 9th or 10th lord) in the Peerage of Scotland, and this same line became the Barons Elphinstone in the peerage of the UK. Kind regards.
