Need Help With ID Of Indian Earring Made In Mexico

Post by IagKris »

Hello,

This is my first post, and i have to say, "I Love This Site". Thanks to all for your posts, I have already learned so much.

I have a pair of Indian Turquoise and Sterling ear rings. I have not been able to identify the maker yet.

I would appreciate any help or guidance...

Thank you in advance,

Since they are Mexican then they aren't Indian. The stones aren't Turquoise, they are white chips of some sort in a colored resin, this technique is used a lot in Mexican jewelry. T marks like these were used after 1979 and there were 100's issued, many were just jobbers, if it was a name maker there would likely be another mark. To be blunt, it's not worth the effort to try to find a maker, I bought books and spent hours researching but unless it's a big name artisan a name isn't helpful. They are still pretty and a unique design.
