Offizierkorps plate

Post by fenix123 »

Hello,
Can someone tell me something about this plate? Diameter: 18cm, weight: 142g. Has an inscription: Das Offizierkorps des 10(Sächs.) Infanterie-Regiments 18.10.1930.
Regards :)

Hi

it was common that the officers gave a present to their commander if he left command. Here was obviously the commanding Colonel of this Regiment leaving.

Hello, the name Elimeyer on the plate is for Moritz Elimeyer, jeweller to the Saxonian Court and very like the retailer of this piece. Regards, Bahner

But the Moritz Elimeyer lived between 1810-1871. Is it possible that someone used old plate after 60 years?

Elimeyer was only the seller. Maker was Wilkens, Bremen (mark Spindelpresse)
