Re: pendant and ring marks: 925 CAS and tree with 1 and L
Hello,
Thank You very much for directions, now I see that it is not a tree it is a bird :)
I just have one question, If in 1920 the company “G.A. Scheid” merged with Ludwig Rainer and in 1922 they stopped with production of silver jewelry, and by the way, the workshop was in Vienna, how its possible that there is hallmark of city Linz (L), which was introduced between 1922-1925?
I am little bit confused :)
Thank You very much
Alex

Hi Alex,
I can only guess at the many possible answers. Perhaps they stopped making jewellery, but continued to sell the work of others under their own name, perhaps this is their manufacture and they used, as manufacturers do in the UK, the services of any assay office of their choosing, perhaps........
We need someone with greater knowledge of the Austrian trade to add their thoughts.
