Hello, please forgive any amateur mistakes made in my post. I recently purchased a silver mexican cuff for my wife in New Mexico. It has onyx stones set in the top of the cuff. I've looked through the resources on this website, but have not found anything similar in terms of the mark. It appears to be the letter 'G'. I thought this could possibly be Damaso Gallegos (based on very little other than similar script G, though he seems to exclusively use 'DG' in his marks.
I would appreciate any and all assistance or guidance on determining the origins of this cuff. I will be posting more images of the full piece as soon as possible and will transfer this post to the proper forum.
Thanks much!
Onyx Mexican Cuff - Assistance Identifying Single-Letter Mark
Re: Onyx Mexican Cuff - Assistance Identifying Single-Letter Mark
Hi Tcray,
Welcome to the Forum.
The mark is a conjoined GJ, the mark of Gildardo Juarez.
We'll still like to see an image of the whole item if you can manage it.

Trev, thanks for much for the information and prompt reply! By chance, do you know where I might find some more information on Gildardo Juarez? Is he still living? My google search was did not prove fruitful.
I will post a picture of the full piece tomorrow morning.
thanks again.

I only wish I could, but no. The information on the mark came from Bille Hougart's 'The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks', unfortunately, if offers no further details.

Two more images of the piece itself....
Thanks again for the assistance. I reached out to the author of the book you mentioned, and he unfortunately didn't have any further information either.
