i know it was imported into Chester in 1899 by B Muller & Son but havent got a clue what the other marks are, would love to know where it originates from and crafted by who ?

Hi,
Sponsor`s mark of B Muller & Son (Berthold Muller), Wardour Street, London.
Importer of German silver.
Assayed in Chester, date letter ``Q`` for 1899.
Letter ``F`` for ``foreign`` used 1867- 1904.
So, most likely made in Germany. Searching for the maker.
Regards

Hello again,
Berthold Mueller distributed a lot of Neresheimer silver.
Besides, one of the marks on the caddy spoon (on the left) can be seen under Neresheimer here:

(Right column, second row on the right, small mark)

Re: where is this from
Hi Mandy,
Should it help with an answer, Berthold Müller was perhaps the sole agent for B. Neresheimer & Söhne of Hanau and he was also known to import items by W. Lobensteyn of Schoonhoven, J.D. Wendels, also of Schoonhoven, and Franz Held of Vienna.

Re: where is this from
because the item dates before 1904. There was only an F as Import mark.
