Assay Office Objects of Interest

Post by rhodrit »

Hi all,
thought I would share some interesting pieces connected with the the Various Assay Offices, that I have come across.
Firstly is this rather special 25 years long service award from the Birmingham Assay office to George Pressdee.

Hallmarked Birmingham 1925, Britannia Standard, Maker C.T.

Have yet to be able to identify the Maker, any help would be appreciated.
I really nice object, my photos don't do it justice!

Thanks Trev, now I can try and find out a little bit more about him.

Here is a menu from a 1933 Livery Diner at Goldsmiths Hall.
