Hello! I came across this pair of candlesticks. I tried to identify silver marks but I didn't get it yet. They are not clear which doesn't help. There are just two marks on each of the candlesticks.
One mark (on the right hand side) looks a bit like a bird ? standing on tall feet (heron or stork bird ?) but it's just a guess. The other mark... I have no clue what it resembles. Are these letters or something else? Actually I don't even know which one is the city mark and which one is maker's mark.
The candlesticks look like coming from mid XVIII cent. central Europe - Germany or its neighbours (Austria, Switzerland?).
Maybe anyone of you saw that marks ad will be able to help me. Thanks!
Unknown mark from Germany (?) ca. 1750 (?)
