It looks like an abstract design on the front.
on the inside it says "Hand Carved"
"Allyson" (I assume that was engraved for a gift.
and then an odd symbol. It looks like to me like a bent J and then an upside Y.
It has two repair marks, so it might have been resized (and maybe another hallmark was removed).
Any insight into the designer would be appreciated.
