Golden brooch “585 ??? UNICAT”
Re: Golden brooch “585 ??? UNICAT”
Correct me if I am in error, but doesn't "UNICAT" translate as "Unique Design" in Romanian, so jewelry from Romania could bear this hallmark? :: I am not familiar with modern jewelry designers from Romania, but it does seem to be a piece of studio jewelry with a brutalist influence :::::

Thank you for your reference.
I am pretty sure that the brooch is not from Romania.
It is a goldsmith work probably from the period 1970/1980 and I think "UNICAT" stands for unique piece.
Unfortunately, I can not assign the master character.
Best regards

Just based on the form, I would think Denmark or The Netherlands, but I did not know there were other applications for the word UNICAT, maybe another piece will reveal itself in time, I will not forget about this piece, the artist seems to possess a high degree of skill :::
