Help with Chinese hallmarks on a Silver Belt

Post by mygoldrocks »

Hi,
Can anyone help with these hallmarks on this Chinese silver belt, does it give a clue to the silver purity, age and maker?
Thanks
Richard

Hi,

The first mark top left Chinese characters reads; pure silver or minimum 995 or higher up until 2015 and since legally reduced to 990.

Makers marks look like 呂廣興 but i don't sure about this.
Left mark of course "pure silver", but at the time when this belt was made, this mark did not guarantee any minimum purity.

It was made by Chinese immigrant craftsman in Singapore or Malaysia, or so called Strait Chinese silver.
