Silver Coffee Tea Set Deco with Tray 5 pieces

I just purchased this major Coffee-Teaset. Weighing over 4kg.
The design looks to be like as its from Denmark. Does anybody know who made it and where its from?

Hello, this could be read as 830S, S for sölv oder Silber. I would not exclude a German origin, for export to northern countries German makers sometimes punched the objects as 830 fine, even though they were actually made of 835 fine. As to the actual maker - my guess is as good as anybody*s. Regards, Bahner

Hi Bahner, thanks for your comment. I suggested or thought it might be denmark as it has the spheres/grapes.... Similar to Gran and Legyle and co....although then it didnt have the 3 towers denmark hallmarks..which then might make it german again :):):) Maybe somebody else here in the group has an opinion. I think you are missing the biggest clue. There is something engraved on the tray. I am assuming it is the name of the ship or the ships company name pictured. It is a pretty good guess that where ever that ship is from is where your set is from. The ship pictured looks stylistically age appropriate to be contemporary to the set. If you could share a picture of the tray without the set it would help and any other engravings not pictured it would be a big help. Regardless of where it comes from it is stunning and amazing and you are very lucky to own it.

The tray looks like it may have the name Amerikad on it. I found what looks like the same name on an 1890's Swedish Clerical Survey. Here is just the portion that shows it (the people mentioned in this survey had gone on to North America if I am reading things correctly.):

I don't think it's "Amerikad" in the old documend above but "N. Amerika d. 2/4 84" where "d." stands for "den" meaning "the" so in Swedish "Flyttat till Norra Amerika den 2 april (18)84 and in English "moved to North America on the 2nd of April in (18)84.

Hello again. I received the parcel after having to wait for 10 days....enclosed you can find some more pictures. Stella from a fb group did some great work. She thinks it could be a hallmark from david andersen. I think she me be right. What do you think?
The Cruise is the Oslofjord (norweign), which was finished in 1938 and sunk due to a mine in 1941.

The text is in German and it says:

"Den Norske Amerikalinje [Norwegian America Line] to Mr. Director Wolfenstetter in grateful memory of excellent work with "Oslofjord" [the name of the ship]" and the years which I can't quite read.

So it seems to be a gift to a German speaking person by the Norwegian company.
