Re: Help ! silver maker identification please?
Hi,
There seems to be very small mark above GM and 900 (on the rim).Better close up is needed, though.
GM and 900 (fineness) cannot help, not even a country and let alone the maker.
Regards

Hi,
Right.it is Austrian Republic hoopoe mark;number 2 indicates second standard .900 and A stands for Vienna.
There is a controversy here, though;assay office letter should be W for Wien (Vienna) but there are examples with A

Re: Help ! silver maker identification please?
Thanks so much Sir. I think it was that period when they change Diana head with hoopoe and they didn't "make it right". I mean until they establish the new hallmark they used A for Viena until they changed with W. Is happens many time. When a change is made, the final product go through some processes.AG2012 wrote:Hi,

But any idea about GM and number 3 on the bottom?
Thanks so much for info and stay safe !
Re: Help ! silver maker identification please?
Number 3 is irrelevant;serial, pattern, internal inventory number etc.
Will search for GM maker in Vienna.
