Indian Sterling silver tea service with village scenes, ebonized wood handles and finials. All pieces stamped "STERLING SILVER". Probably c1920s-c1940s from Calcutta (Kolkata), India. Total weight 2312g.
According to the previous owner, the set was brought from India to North America in 1950 (the region of India where it was acquired is uncertain).

Nice!
I'd like to know how those pieces were stored, since there doesn't seem to be any tarnish at all. Like brand new (but obviously not).

Don't they apply artificial patina in the production process?
