Hi
Its a long shot, but can anyone identify the place and maker of this candle holder. I am presuming it is Continental and I think it dates circa 1700 - 1750. What I think is the makers mark is NA and there are remnants of second mark. There is also an assay scrape. The marks are on the handle. The diameter of the drip dish is about 11cm. Many thanks.

I think amena is correct. And given how little of the mark is left it's a miracle he recognizes any of it.

I'm not at all sure my guess is correct, it's just a shot in the blackest darkness.
However, a large number of chamber sticks were manufactured in Naples between 700 and 800.
Try Googling
"Bugia argento Napoli" or " Bugia argento napoletana"
Good luck

Thanks for the Napoli reference Amena. I've had a quick look. As you say, there are many chamber sticks from that period and I will need to spend more time tonight looking at them. It would be very nice if it was confirmed as from Napoli - here's hoping! Thanks also Legrandmogol for your opinions.
