Italian Mark? “Gre Argent” + “Double” a Squirrel and “ED” Silverplate Kettle on stand

Hi all, This Massive Silver-plate (Art Nouveau?) tea kettle on stand with a mark I have struggled with: “Gre Argent”+“Double” a Squirrel and “E D”Any help would be appreciated. (The stand is original to the base as I have seen one other example with the same pairing and markings.)
