I don't generally even look at Russian silver but you know how it goes. My fear of fake Russian silver comes from this forum. Anyhow, I had an opportunity to buy these for significantly less than the contained silver value. So I have looked through the Russian section and identified what appears to be the Kokoshnik Mark with the initials AP, for Aleksnadr Vasilyevitch Romanov, working in warsaw 1899-1904. I assumed the rubbed marked next to this is the makers mark, and then there is the third mark, which appears to have been applied later and is a polish remark. Please let me know how badly I have misinterpreted the marks and why they are fake and all that.
Warsaw Candlestick Marks
Re: Warsaw Candlestick Marks
Hello! You have written almost everything correctly. We see the stamp of the silver workshop "Б.ШКАРЛАТ" (Szkarlat) and two state stamps (oval and round) with the initials "AР" (А.Romanov). This silver workshop often made candlesticks.
