I´ll been told Japan, but I’m not convinced. The tray has been tested for silver, and passed, so it´s not Tibet Silver anyway.
What is the origin of this tray?

Re: What is the origin of this tray?
There is a possibility it is Chinese...but I'm kind of leaning towards Japan.

The markings in Japanese read:
"è²å…ƒ" --> "Koemoto" (Most likely artisan name.)
and
"純銀" --> "pure silver"

The upper mark is a Chinese ideogram. The low one looks almost the same as Japanese JUNGIN mark, but actually it is in Chinese. I will come back shortly with references.
