Scottish Advertisements and Information

Post by dognose »

A topic for advertisements and information regarding all branches of the Scottish trade, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers, they are all worth recording and help to provide a bigger picture of the trade in that country.

J.& J.S. ANDERSON

96, Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen

Image
J.&J.S. Anderson - Aberdeen - 1890

This was the business of James Sheridan Anderson. He was formerly in partnership with John Anderson. Following the dissolution of the partnership in 1878, James continued alone, but the styling of the business name remained the same. They were formerly located at 93, Queen Street, Aberdeen.

The above advertisement from 1890 notes the fact that the Duty placed on gold and silver was abolished in that year.
