Crest on Georgian Silver Forks: Winged Crown?

Post by abcushon »

I have a number of flatware pieces with similar crests including these 2 variations. There are definitely Wings. Are they on a crown or a battlement? I don't know. In the middle is what looks like an orb with a cross. I would appreciate any help. Thank you,

Allan

I would blazon this crest as: Out of a mural crown a Pomme charged with a cross Or between two wings displayed. Which, in plain terms would describe a crown made of bricks, above it a green disk with a gold cross in front, between two open wings. This is the crest for many of the families named Heathcote. It would be hard to narrow it to one person. Cheers.
