Help with viennese maker's mark

Post by Stantheman »

Hi, could you please help me to establish what silversmith from vienna made it and when he was active? The mark looks a little like a chalice/goblet? Thank you in advance. Best regards!

BTW. Do you have any interesting links or reference books for viennese/austrian silversmiths? I coudn't find anything on that topic.

Hello, most likely the "cup" mark of Jarosinski and Vaugoin of Vienna. Still active today, the mark is documented on their homepage. Best wishes, Bahner
