a presumably Spanish religious medal

Post by natsuki »

Hello. I have a religious medal which has Jesus on one side and Nuestra Senora de Monserrato on the other. I don't know the material of the medal. It may be solid silver, silver plate, or some other silver-colored metal. The Jesus side has two marks.

Could anyone let me know what these marks mean? Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Natsuki,

Welcome to the Forum.

It's Spanish after 1934, the shooting star indicates 750/1000 silver standard, and the other mark is that of the maker. Hopefully another member can tell us more.

The hexagon with letter Z indicate the city, Zaragoza and 51 is the registration number of silversmith.
