Agostino, Can you post a clear, directly overhead photo of the maker's mark? For the Encyclopedia.
Miles, Any thoughts as to why Grimwade stated 'by 1771' rather than by 1773 when that particular Largeworkers Register was finished?
Regards Trev.
I just find out checking my collection
another salver from the same maker
London 1774
this is a coming lot from thr McCone collection (one of the founder of CIA)
here the maker's mark is clear !
take a look
Thanks Agostino

Re: IC / TH - John Crouch I & Thomas Hannam 1796 Salver
Has anyone ever seen the I . C mark by itself? If we come across just an I dot C, would this still be attributed to the works of John Crouch I and
would the IC with a dot in between still correspond to John Crouch I who perhaps had a single hallmark in the lost register?
