Hi,

This (Chinese?) box has hallmarks that I don't understand. Someone does?

Hello.

Top mark is similar to one used by Da Xing (Ta Hsing).

Hi Pat,

Thank you very much. Where can I find Da Xing (TA Hsing)? I can't find him in the list of Chinese masters on this forum. Or is there another list? Where did he lived? When did he worked?

Regards,

Zilverik

Hi Zilverik.

Sorry, there is no list on the internet of Chinese marks, that I know of.
Used to be one a couple of years ago. I made copies of a few pages.
That's where my info is from.

I think they were located in Canton, China, late 19th century.

Pat.

Hi,

Thank you very much goldfish. So, this is Chinese export silver? Do you know anything more about the maker? I am attached to it, because it's very well made. You know other work of this master?

Regards,
