Hello,

I like your forums here and am a first time poster.
I have this bracelet which needs identifying and have not been able find any information on it.
Hopefully you can help.

A post that's worth a bump.

Any thoughts?

I'm informed by a friend that the 'crowned' "C" mark belongs to Cunill Orfebres S.A., founded in Barcelona in 1916.

Cunill Orfebres S.A.
Calle Sancho de Avila 41-45
08018 Barcelona
Spain

Their assay-number since 1985 is “C [C = Catalonia] 15”.

Hmmm, can't tell you who the maker is, but believe, given the design of the mark, the 'STERLING' underneath, and what can be seen of the item, this is almost certainly fairly recent Native American silver...

The hallmark is similar to Cunil silversmiths, but not identical. Look at these links, which are Cunill hallmarks.

Another illustration of why a picture of the item is usually helpful - the piece appears to be, from what can be seen, a typical NA 2-wire cuff bracelet with an asymmetrical mounting (would guess a stone with perhaps an applied feather to the side). The mark, which to my eye appears to be a 'C' in the form of a curved arrow with sun rays above it, looks like it might be a hand-cut punch, and is typical in design for NA makers' marks. Strikes me as very unlikely that this item has any connection to Cunill.

Hi,

Thanks to Cheryl and Ovo for the information.

I think the confusion may have come about from this mark of Cunill that was posted on the forum awhile back:
