Identification of an ashtray
Hey everyone, I can't seem to find any info on this ashtray? that has a plate in center that says "Orleans". Any help appreciated on pattern ID, manufacturer ID, or just any point in the right direction. Can't find in any of my books. It's terrible trying to search for anything with "Orleans" in it, brings up thousands of hits. Here is link to whole pic album, has a few more pics: http://photobucket.com/orleansashtray

Without any maker's mark there is really no clue at all to the origin of this ashtray. The arms shown, as I'm sure you know, are those of the French city of Orléans and this piece would have probably been made for the tourist trade.
