Help with Spanish mark on tea spoon; Duran. 5 point star.

Post by PaulMuadDibKA »

Hi, I found this strange symbol close to the Duran Mark on a tea spoon I own.
I would like to know what it means, as Im clueless, it was once mentioned in an item for sell but the page wouldn´t load.
Im sorry I forgot to take a pic of the spoon, but in truth, its a very normal tea silver spoon.
Sorry if it doesnt qualifuy for the site standards, and thanks in advance.

Haha, never mind, First time I looked under other countries section I somehow missed Spain.
Now I know that it reffers to the purity, and helped me with the year!
Spain

1934 - Present

Pentagram is a quality mark indicating a minimum of .915 purity, it is usually accompanied by a maker's mark in a hexagonal stamp or an importer's mark in a triangle.
So thread can be closed!

There is an error. The mark of the pentagram was used between 1934 and 1985. The law was published in 1934, but the rule of law was published in 1936. Therefore, the mark was first used in 1936.

The brand that is blurred is a vase. It belongs to the silverware Pedro Duran Morales. This silverware is in Madrid, from the late nineteenth century. It is currently the largest in Spain.
