What is CLXXXX

I bought this "thing" some years ago. It was sold to me as a "strawberry fork" (Hahahahaaaa!), but what is it used for, I have no idea? It could be some kind of a picker, but for what? Please note the size of it. The ruler is in centimeters. Kindly do not suggest "Spanish hair comb", it is not that!

Hi Qrt.S,

I agree, I think it is a cut down Italian hair comb :))

Well Trev, that's an interesting approach, never thought of it being Italian. However, the object's marks tells us that it is made in Malmö in Sweden in 1974 by GEWE, so unfortunately I don't buy your suggestion. Make a new one. Nonetheless, it is not either toast fork. It is too small for that. Here is a Dutch toast fork to compare with. The ruler is in centimeter not inch!

Honestly, I think it's a hair comb. Probably broke a needle and cut the rest to match them.

The hair combs come in many sizes, 1 needle, 2 needles, 3 needles, 10 needles, etc.. Your hair comb is small, but not unusual. I leave a photograph of a similar hair comb.

I'm afraid that I don't buy your suggestion dear ovo. The sponges are not cut, I checked that. Please note that it is Swedish made and in Sweden such hair combs are not used. Somehow it relates to tableware. Below a picture where a very similar "fork" is shown but unfortunately it is not mentioned what it is for. A new try would be appreciated, thank you.

At first I thought corn-on-the-cob, but unsure if corn is eaten that way in Sweden. Being short tined, it is used to press into something fairly firm, or broad.
