Mnt Fuji Mark approx. 1914 Damascene wear

Post by healeyman »

Hi

I am new to this Forum and with expert tuition from a well known member ? - have managed to post this photo:-

Image

So far we understand this Etched Damascene wear made from approx. 1914 onwards, using the Mnt Fuji logo, has been attributed to Ex Komai workers setting up their own Export business to the West - however we have found items signed by Yoshiho Fujii I with the Mnt Fuji Logo which was a prolific manufacturer but so far we have drawn a blank as to who the Company was using this Logo.

O. Komai damascene is all nunome zougan work - unless you know different?

It has been seen also, pressed in to Silver products too.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Recent information has identified that the Mt. Fuji mark was used by the Fujii Damascene Company. I have seen object from this company that may date to the early part of the 20th century and advertisements posted in magazines as late as the early 1940s.
