Another unusual crest, a cuffed hand grasping a lobster (?):
Noted on a set of flatware made by John James Whiting, and assayed at London in 1836.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Re: Cuffed Hand and Lobster
I would describe that nasty arachnid as a scorpion. I found a crest for BRANSON, a few for COLE and one for HINCKS. However they were naked arms, not cuffed, or nothing mentioned either way. Blame the engraver?

Hi Nobilityhouse,
Ah yes, I see it now, a scorpion, that looks much more likely, even though, in proportion to the hand, it is a monster.
Many thanks for the leads on the names.
