Hey, there!
Today I've found that little brooch. It is marked with "JA&S" "Sterling Silver".
It might be John Aitkin, but all the hallmarks I've found look quite different. Could anyone help me, please?
John Aitkin and Son? - butterfly brooch
Re: John Aitkin and Son? - butterfly brooch
Hi Luci,
I've seen the mark attributed to a James Atkins & Son of Birmingham several times in the past, but have yet to see an advertisement or anything else to confirm it.

Thanks, dognose!
I've also seen this mark attributed to atkins on eBay, but the hallmarks look quite different and that's why I wanted to ask you. Hm...
I hope, James Atkins can be confirmed by somebody.
