Hi All,
Wondering if anybody has seen this mark before?
Any Help with Maker or likely origin would be greatly appreciated!
Best Wishes
Rhodri

Hi Rhodri,
Is there any chance that it is a badly struck 'BL'?

Now u say I think it could be Trev, that part of the mark is rubbed. There is a definite pellet between the letters. If i'm reading your thinking - B Lumsden? I convinced myself the fiddle pattern of the spoon would put it outside the dates I thought he worked.

I think date-wise it would be OK, Lumsden was working until 1785. Scottish styles and fashions lent more towards those of France, rather than England, and I believe the fiddle pattern was in use in France before it gained its popularity in England.
