Hi,
I found these spoons at auction described as Scottish Provincial. Could they be from Liverpool, as the marks don't correspond with any Scottish Provincial that I am aware of?

Liverpool Spoons?
Re: Liverpool Spoons?
Hi Martin,
Can you post an image of the marks on the other spoon?
Trev.

Hi Trev,
The images were provided by the auctioneer, I do not have the spoons. I came across them when checking through the auctioneers sale results for a number of Scottish Provincial items and was intrigued as to the origin of that particular lot.

Hi Martin,
The 'WF' is a good match for the mark of William Ferguson of Elgin. What is the mystery, is what is his mark overstamping? Perhaps the word 'SILVER'?

Re: Liverpool Spoons?
Hi Trev,
That would make sense, in which case the origin of the spoons could be very difficult to determine.
