Hello, happy new year to you all!

I have seen the following hallmarks on several cigarette lighters in the past and unfortunately can not identify the maker.

It has the following marks:

-Sterling (in an oval, characteristically handwritten font)
-Steamship (4 chimneys ...it Looks like a ship, possibly could be something else).
-Made in Germany (These marks you can find also on other pieces).

I think it was made somewhere around Pforzheim. Around 1926-29. The Quality of the enamel is very high. If anybody could identify this mark this would be more than smashing and very important for the cigarette lighter community and me!

Thank you in advance and here are the pics...

Mike

Hi,
Is this another mark ? If so, try to clean it.

Hi, thanks. Yes you are right. Unfortunately the pics are from lighter collectores (I have permission to Show the pics), These collectors however have no idea how to make makro Images or even how to clean the hallmarks correctly..... I will see what I can do and email them....Mike
