UNKNOWN Marking on Minature Silver Tea Kettle.

Are these Asian? Perhaps a stylized script? I have had zero luck finding out anything about this, it is also Hand marked with M-8909 on the inside of the lid, as well as the bottom. 
I am unsure of the orientation of the mark, so here is two angles..
