Hi,

Thought I'd post pictures of a recent "unknown" find - a teaspoon measuring about 5 3/8" and weighing about 14 g, marked what appears to be GS flanked by three balls on each side, and possibly overstriking another mark, possibly not. This piece has a potential English colonial feel to it, but I could be total off and it might turn out to be German or Danish territories. Hoping someone else has collected a piece with this same mark, that might have more stylistic clues. Or, really lucky, that someone actually recognizes the mark in relation to a particular silversmith! Thanks!

Regards,
WesternPA

Q.-Do the three dots appear to be surviving remnants of a greater design below that was worn..like paws/feet of inward facing animals?
Q.-Is there a second worn mark above (rectangular) that might have been a location indicator..like town/city name?
