Help Identify Egyptian??? Hallmark
Re: Help Identify Egyptian??? Hallmark
Hi,
It is Cairo Egypt Assay office, and number 900 in Arabic indicating silver standard (fineness).
Other marks are missing (national mark and day letter) but it`s not uncommon to see in Egyptian jewelry (most likely late 20th century).
By the way, when judging silver, silver plate, and non precious metals, do not rely on tarnish or patina, that can be misleading.
