Hello. Is this jug silver? What does PLATERIA mean? It looks like silver.

I think plateria means silversmith, and yes the pitcher is solid silver. I am not fluent in Spanish so you may hear better about the word plateria.

Hi,

I love solid silver pieces with old marks.
Everyone is right. Player is typically would just be the company name who employs artists to make pieces for them.
It has a remarkable maker mark in center.
It is listed with the same exact marks and Maker in Little Book. Pg 139-140 with maker MR.
Typically with eagle 1 or 7.
Melesio Rodriguez with with different shops but his mark is quite simple. Not like this 9ne.

Best I can do..

Good luck,

Evil
