There is only that "CAG"-hallmark. Is it enough to find out more about this pretty spoon?

:::::: I think this spoon is later than 1800 and If this spoon is 1868-1900 then it could have been made in Belgium post-1868 when hallmarking was not compulsory. :::::: There seems something very French about the overall form, and the monogram has been discussed as most likely French? :::::

:::::: If this is not Belgium, I cannot think of a more likely candidate? :::::

Just found out: the crest is from Bachmann, Switzerland.

"CAG" might be a lokal maker.

The coat of arms most likely is from Niklaus Leodegar Franz Ignaz von Bachmann-An der Letz (* 27. März 1740 in Näfels; † 11. Februar 1831 ebenda)

Tschudi, Aegidius: Ægidii Tschudii, gewesenen Land-Ammanns zu Glarus, Chronicon Helveticum.
Schlacht bei Näfels
Battle of Näfels 1388 when 650 Swiss from Glarus confronted 6000 Habsburg invaders.
The result: 55 dead Swiss and 1700 Austrians.
That`s what happens when people defend their land and homes. To be compared with ….

:::: Contributors Joerg and Blakstone have helped me in the past with Swiss Silver:

:::: "f the spoon HAS TO BE Swiss, it is difficult finding a match. I could not find a match in Weltliches Silber II, which is very complete on flatware from this period, nor in Weltliches Silber 1, which usually deals with older silver. " ::::

:::: There's a comprehensive list of silver resources archived by internut squirrels & it does seem that this general form could be from as early as 1800 as found in Switzerland & with a heavy French influence and this form being so traditionally Swiss, I should have thought of Switzerland. :::::

:::: A lot of the Swiss silver from 1790-1800 still bear additional town/city/national hallmarks stamped alongside the makers mark, the further we get into the 19th century the more likely it seems to find just a makers mark without any additional Swiss hallmarks, but hopefully the experts can narrow down the time-frame by the maker's initials. ::::

The time frame is easy: He got the grand cross in 1816 and died in 1831.

Thank you for waking me up.....
CAG is Caspar Anton Gallati (1777-1851). In Glarus (a 100% match with the coat of arms).
