Hello,

This is my first time making a post on here so I hope I am doing it in the correct manner. I have a silver color tray that I would really like some help identifying the marks and writing on the back of. they include the letter c that is underlined, a pineapple that is surrounded by two circles, the word England the numbers 1841 18 and then 24353. I hope to learn not only what they mean but also hopes as to what it is made out of as well. any help/insight or information that can be provide on this post would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

BigT

To me, the scratch engraved numbers appear to be inventory marks of previous owners and likely nothing to do with Barker-Ellis.

thanks for the info on the numbers, very helpful.

do you have any thoughts on the underlined letter c or is that the same kind of thing? lastly, any idea as to what it might be made from? is it silver plate? or silver, or something different entirely? my guess would be silver plate of some capacity but i am not sure. any insight on these questions would be greatly appreciated as well.

thanks again for the info so far
