I agree with DR that the script and design looks Khmer (Cambodia) or possibly Thai; Burma would be another guess. Also, the style of the bowl and tip of the handle look much like a spoon I have from Indochine (modern-day Vietnam). Hope this helps -

Hi, I have to vote for Egypt - there is arabic script above the 800 and it likely denotes Alexandria or Cairo assay office. There is no official country stamp for Egypt on your piece, althought it is not uncommon to find only one or two of the normally three-part Egyptian marks, especially on smalle...

Hi, just to throw in my two cents worth, I would guess these are silverplated brass. The easy test is in the weight: if it feels heavy and solid then very likely it is silverplated brass. I have to write in support of rauls last assesment - I have pieces from Cambodia with the T90 stamp and the same leafy-floral motif.
