Provincial or Pseudo? unusual piece

The marks are found to the side near handle, struck three times and are difficult to decipher. The piece is well made and of very good gauge, the makers initials could me: WH, HM or three letters combining LT or M.

I've gone a bit bonkers going through my books and feel it is Irish Provincial or ...

Thank you for your response, time and advice, it is greatly appreciated.
I have gone back and taken further photos as per your guidance and I hope these are better, the hallmarks to the handle are minute!
My resource material on French silver is rather limited, I have a vast library ...

French twin handle cup 1700's?

Hello,
I apologise in advance if the images are a bit large, but I wanted the hallmarks to be easier to see then if a small image.
This seems to be quite an old cup, with large makers stamp to underside of base(struck four times?) and some other smaller marks to the handles.

I cannot find this maker, I am leaning toward it being American coin silver? 'IT' is the only backstamp. Any help would be appreciated.
