Indian silver salt probably Kutch unknown marks
Dear all
I recently acquired this 2" high and 3 " wide Indian salt. I was informed at the time of purchase that it was in Kutch style. Later, on close examination, I found some punched out marks that are slightly rubbed but I think read PI.85 or PI.80. I haven't been able to find these marks ...

Re: Identify maker and origin of this table spoon pls
Thanks Theoderich,
Did Mannheim not use a city mark? I recall an older post of a soup ladle where someone had mentioned that some Middle and Southwest Germany makers did not use city marks - perhaps Ludiwg Nagel was such a maker?

Identify maker and origin of this table spoon pls
Dear all
This is a variant fiddle pattern table spoon, 7" in length and 48g in weight. I have been unable to date this spoon or to identify the maker. It appears to be made of solid silver - I suppose '13' stands for '13 loth' and therefore probably German or Austro-Hungarian in origin. However ...

I found the following image on google search few years ago and had it on file as Neresheimer and Thomas Glaser.

Re: Help Identifying the maker
Hi
I have seen similar pseudomarks on a tray with an additional mark that I have not found anywhere yet. However the two pseudomarks here are attributed to Neresheimer, a prolific Hanau silversmith. My tray also has import marks of Thomas Glaser similar to yours. I wasn't aware before that Glaser ...

probably post 1886 German silver tray, identify maker pls
Dear all
I haven't been able to identify the maker of this 9" x 5" beautiful tray but I think is post-1886 German due to the crescent, crown and 800 mark

tea strainer, possibly Dutch but can't identify the marks
Dear all
I haven't been able to find the marks on this tea strainer that I acquired some time ago as a piece of continental silver. Any help will be most appreciated.

Identify maker pls, serving knife
Dear all
This is a 12" serving knife in (probably) Bright Vine pattern. When I acquired it, I was informed the maker was Joseph Gloster, which I don't think is correct as the date letter with the monarch's mark indicates 1860 and Joseph Gloster's mark was registered in 1890s. The only maker I could ...

box with 800 and possibly Hanau marks
Dear all
This box measures 3.5" x 1.5" and, as you can see, has a gilded interior and chased exterior. Chasing is not seen at the base. The work looks very Hanau to me but I have not been able to find the pseudohallmarks to match with this.
Your help will be much appreciated. (apologies if they ...

Chester small spoon, pls confirm maker's name
Dear all
This is a miniature/demitasse spoon measuring approx. 4 inches. I had previously attributed the mark to Lowe and sons but have some doubts looking at it again today as the star in the top quarter in thsi spoon is not obvious in the hallmark at http://www.silvermakersmarks.co.uk/Makers ...
