Does anyone have any information about this design? It has the Antonio Taxco mark and 14k and has a fire opal in each panel. I wonder if mine has been altered as the links have been opened in one section. Somehow it doesn't seem to flow as most Pineda pieces do, so I wonder if a central piece has be...

Hi Carol,
Its a bit difficult to tell from the picture but looks like the Chester hallmark for 1909. This is a a typical English 'sweetheart' brooch of the period. The maker's mark is unknown to me (and I can't find it).

Hmmm! Just to be sure I checked up on the only published image of the mark i have for Meyle and Mayer ( silver jewellery designs by N.S Schiffer), it is a bit different.
